This was a pretty cool article. The author goes into subjective territory, and I dislike some of his choices, but I very much agree with the general sentiment of prefering code that's simple, easy, and boring. And #Scala can suffer from Java's boilerplate curse, IMO, due to all the tooling that alleviates the use of complex APIs.
