It really sounds like Dorsey is hedging his bets.
The tech community is salty about him handing Twitter over to the village idiot. The crypto/blockchain libertarians are mad that BlueSky rejected their ideology
So, Dorsey distanced himself from BlueSky, while still retaining control, giving use permission to join without the taint of his presence
He then went to Nostr to bide his time and appease the block bros.
That feels more plausible than him just handing over his company to Jay Gruber.
