But yeah, he enjoyed that moment of negative focus at the time. All of these guys do. They’re always just one half-step away from the MAGA GoFundMe grifts that the far right do whenever someone calls them out for their shitty behavior.
And the thing is, people lap it up. The IndieWeb is full of these white cishet influencers who are lifted up as idols by other white cishet wannabe influencers. This is the toxic side of the space, and it’s propelled by a whole lot of “let’s just focus on blogging tools and not talk about *that kind* of politics”.
And now you know the one thing that’s on my own silly list of random things that I hate.
