The people who are the very loudest critics of social media are those who find it frustrating that they can’t block or mute decency into oblivion. These are the same people who will call criticism of hateful behavior “toxic” and then call it a “dogpile” when a second or third person agrees that it’s wrong to treat queer people like shit.
Social media has never been the problem. People with hurtful views are the problem.
