People rarely show up for you in the ways you need them to. I'm learning that sometimes, offering gratitude for how they do show up is better than stewing over their shortcomings. Because we all offer empathy in different ways.
I'm not the type of person who will ever offer a hug. But, I will give you my last donut if you're feeling down.
