the problem with collapseOS is that once you start down that train of thought it's very difficult to avoid the temptation to write increasingly elaborate fanfic scenarios of post-collapse society and how it will function, and then if the collapse happens you will have missed some crucial detail that completely changes the dynamic of society so that everyone who finds your writing just laughs at you for not realizing some fundamental bit they take for granted as part of their everyday life
