I imagine the Fediverse like a decentralised collective of cooperative-run libraries covered in moss and fungi, that are safe and accepting spaces for all except bigots, where people can infodump to each other about the most specific topics, are quiet sensory safe havens, have FOSS on every computer, and have a cat café that's also a repair café.
Outside, hundreds of bicycle racks line the walkable, breathable arcade by the community garden, with thought-provoking street art replacing ads.
