Remember that the enshittification clock starts as soon as a company *considers* going public -- or taking another round of VC funding, even. Discord's monetization moves have not been huge so far, but I never thought they were aiming at modest self-sustainability.
Also, predicting economic outcomes is stupid right now anyway. Anything could happen, starting with the obvious oncoming massive recession and any number of obvious worse possibilities.
