I see a lot no-context posts that amount to, "Random something crashing on my computer. [Expletive] Linux/FOSS!" So let me throw this out there:
I've been using Linux as my desktop environment personally and at work for almost a decade now. It's been a solid experience regardless of distro. I am grateful for the ease of use and all the wonderful tools that are easily installed. I never feel like I am hindered by the environment beyond proprietary vendors that don't support Linux.
