When I was a teen, I was into drawing and inking. Part of my process would involve tracing over a pencil rough where I had worked out a composition. If you're not using tracing paper, you need to use a light box to help you see the under drawing. At the time, they were expensive. So I built my own by getting a local glass shop to cut two panes of glass: one smooth and one frosted. I picked up an under counter fluorescent light, and then built a box to house it in from scraps.
