@Gina hey gina -- you're talking to the choir. i've been managing communities in my free time for the past few years while working full-time and managing personal projects. i'm speaking to you as a fellow community administrator.

the difference here is that you do not have the luxury of floating solutions from your mods in the middle of a crisis situation and, regardless if you choose to admit it or not, you are vastly under-equipped to handle this at this scale.

at this stage, i would recommend bringing in a community management expert (NOT one of your friends) who can set up structures that you and your mods can follow, because you have made every wrong choice at every fork in the road.

your 3 weeks of admin experience has clearly not given you the means or skills to adequately staff a community, and i think adding 21 moderators at this stage was a deep mistake. the process should've been slower, more involved with the community, and more time should've been taken to look into each moderator and how they approach content moderation. instead, you've been flirting with dog-whistles that you apparently have no idea about because of the aforementioned lack of ability.

your constant bringing up about how you have other things to do, how real-life comes first, etc., is not the casual nicety you think it is. if you don't have time to administrate a community, then don't do it.

this behavior from you is dismissive to the people who are *actually* suffering at the hands of people who believe they are subhuman who can't just turn off their computer and go for a hike in the mountains. it looks like you do not prioritize this, and you should. if anything, you should at least be *appearing* to prioritize this.
