I like genuinely think it's good for smalltown fedi to be a little less tightly integrated with big instance fedi. heterogeneity is good and also the point. we should have both. and we should get out of each other's way. you can make account on multiple instances. be on a private instance sometimes and a public instance another.
the default stance of the fedi to want to homogenize it and freeze it in place sucks.
