- corner a big chunk of a market
- extract *extreme* amounts of revenue [2]
- underfund maintenance and load up on (technical) debt, such that bankruptcy becomes inevitable
In this case, the thing that is going bankrupt is the web ecosystem, which from the perspective of Apple's native app ecosystem sure is a dang shame, huh?
