Here's a new artwork of mine, "The 10x Engineer." It tells you a story, using the Emergency Broadcasting System as a lens for considering "AI," salaries, and billionaires.

- A small, sloping grey box has a screen and a button on it. The screen reads, "A TEST OF THE EMERGENCY BROADCASTING SYSTEM." (remote)
- A close-up of the screen reveals scrapes, grime, and scratches on its once-futuristic hammertone steel enclosure. The screen reads, "I had to blow the dust off. reseat the cartridge." (remote)
- From this angle, you can see that the button has a red label, "PUSH TO TEST." A white power supply connects to the back. Its screen reads, "I guess I come from hardscrabble times, content-wise." (remote)
- This angle shows the 30-degree slope of the top panel of the box. The box is a tabletop design, perhaps 6in or 15cm wide, 4in or 10cm deep, 3in or 8cm tall. The screen reads, "For me, these ancient neural pathways have dimmed, a bit." (remote)
