Thinking about Lorde's Hot Ones interview again.
What blows my mind isn't that she enjoys the really spicy wings, it's that she has such a minimal *involuntary* response to them. Like, there are a lot of spicy foods I will happily eat but that make my nose run/eyes water a lot. She just no-sells it all on an *autonomic* level
