@LillyHerself Tilt and Swing movements (which are possible with large format view cameras and as a feature on a handful of specialized DSLR lenses) tilt the plane of focus away from the film/sensor plane. Usually, the same distance from the camera is in focus across the frame. With tilt and swing, the focal distance changes across the frame. This can be used to keep, e.g., the ground in focus in a landscape as it goes to the distance, or, as here, to restrict what's in focus to a narrow slice.
