Started playing with Svelte 5 runes tonight, and I'm sad to say I'm kinda disappointed.
I think the syntax is really nice for basic component state and props. But everywhere else—*especially* as a replacement for writable/derived stores, and `onMount`—it's been way more complex, with no clear benefit. Not being able to export `$derived` feels extra un-Svelte like. That kind of arbitrary gotcha feels very React.
Oh well. At least we can still keep doing things the old way if we want to.
