I spent the past several doodling sessions on a drawing that has many problems, but I ended up liking it anyway. Plenty of room for improvement, so I'll just keep twirling, twirling, twirling towards mastery.
The seated figure was just me "discovering" the character as I went, so it looks rougher and doodlier. The flying friend was an idea I decided to work out off the page before drawing it. So it looks a little more refined, as I drew it more than once.

- Sketch of a reptilian, humanoid being. It's seated on a mat with its legs crossed and hands folded in its lap. It has pants but no shirt. It looks comfortable. Flying in front of its face is a little friend. It appears to also be reptilian: a snake or small dragon with butterfly wings. (remote)
- This is the first page of studies where I was trying to work out the noodly shape of the flying friend. (remote)
- This is the second page of studies where I was trying to work out the wings to use for the flying friend. Just different butterfly wings. (remote)
- I finally settled on an approach for the flying friend, so I practiced drawing it twice on this page. The third time was on the final picture. (remote)
