Ironically, this deft maneuvering away from any real substance is to attract the largest number of voters to its rally, which sounds exactly like the strategy that lost the #democrats the election. Because when it comes to setting your principles aside for mass appeal, liberals only go one way—towards centrism. The younger generations see right through that. They'll never show up to a centrist rally.
