Did you know umbrellas were long considered only for women, and unfit for use by men?

It's said the first man who dared to carry an umbrella in public in Paris was assaulted with thrown objects, so strong was the cultural backlash, even in the rain.

It seems ridiculous now that something with such obvious practical value was needlessly gendered.

Anyway my point is we should normalize men carrying purses.
