The kiddo has been following some youtube videos where they make fold out images. Or maybe fold-in? I'm not sure the right term here, but you get two images. One when the paper is folded, and another after you unfold it. Anyway, I've been riffing on the idea with the kiddo. I think the second one would make a good valentines. :thonking:
Attachments:
- A cartoon dinosaur on top of a hill. It seems to be yelling in alarm. It's tail is straight out and it has an exclamation point above its head. (remote)
- The image is now folded out to reveal that the top of the hill the dinosaur had been standing on has just been blown off as a volcano exploded beneath its feet. The bottom and top of the hill is separated by a column of lava with two dinosaurs joining the scene as they are tossed to either side of the hill turned volcano: a triceratops and a T-Rex lookin' fellow. Both dinosaurs eyes and mouths opened wide in fear. The kiddo liked this one but asked me, "Where did the other dinosaurs come from?" :/ (It is all cartoony and not nearly as horrific as it would be in real life to have a volcano explode under your feet.) (remote)
- A simple stylized red heart. Awwww.... (remote)
- Opening up the heart picture to reveal a green monster head with pointed years and perhaps a bat nose. The bottom of the heart forms its neckline and the top of the heart its head. The monster's mouth is open revealing many sharp teeth. The monster is saying, "Sorry. I'm a monster." I think this has potential to be a valentines or maybe an apology card. (remote)
