if I understand the way this works, the Judge was not supposed to pay attention to Trump’s speeches during the trial, but during the sentencing phase the Judge is supposed to pay attention to whether the guilty defendant has taken responsibility & shown remorse for their crimes. Trump clearly has not and feels no remorse.
