I'm behind the news, and I knew Intel was spinning out their FPGA stuff again, but I hadn't heard they completed it. I find it funny they refer to "new" and Altera. I suppose the logo typeface is new.
I suppose this bucks the trend of all the consolidation towards a single semiconductor company, but it's probably just noise. All hail Big Chip...
