But we have seen this movie before. Apple has a habit of seconding key engineers to other projects, and has been more than willing to starve the Safari/WebKit teams just as soon as attention shifts away from some long-simmering neglect that has suddenly boiled over.
We should not expect this time to be different until and unless true competition comes to iOS.
