Boy, I haven't been posting much art on here lately, have I?
These are from a few months ago. I did the Castle Grayskull piece to try-out some new paints, and then I figured hey, since I've got a nice little BG painting, let's do a character cel to put over it! So Mer-Man there is a traditionally inked and painted cel.
Fun! I should do more of these some time.
Attachments:
- An acrylic painting of Castle Grayskull, the skull-faced fortress from He-Man And The Masters of The Universe. The entrance to the castle -- a tunnel that leads into the skull's mouth -- is open towards the viewer. (remote)
- On the left, a pencil drawing of Mer-Man, one of the villains in Masters of The Universe. He's a very muscly fish dude. On the right, we see the back (painted) side of a sheet of Dura-Lar (a transparent plastic sheet) which has Mer-Man's body colours painted onto it. (remote)
- Here we see the front side of the Dura-Lar, which has an ink line drawing of Mer-Man (the same composition as in the second image), and the colour blobs from the previous image show through to colour the artwork. The Dura-Lar "cel" is laying atop the Castle Grayskull painting from the first image. (remote)
