An entertaining day at the backyard. First, a very busy and dedicated squirrel was gathering nuts from around the area and storing them in a hole right outside my window. It's been at it for several hours! And then a raccoon came dug out the hole and ate all the nuts. All in ~10 minutes. A great show and a lesson to not apply the notion of humanity and fairness to wild nature.
(Being a weak, emotional human, I did throw some more nuts for the squirrel after the raccoon went away.)
