Relying on a typical growth-and-profit-are-the-only-priorities corporations to archive, organize, curate, and access knowledge was a bad idea, but that doesn't mean it's not possible to archive, organize, curate, and access knowledge in other ways. I don't think we've (yet) lost knowledge, it's just the corps. we've recently been relying on have proven to be unworthy for the responsibility they assumed for themselves (and which we granted them). We can do it differently now.
