The boogeyman of ~socialism~ in medicine is that “oh no, you’ll have to wait so long to see a doctor.”
But now, all of we victims of capitalist medicine wait months or more just to see a PCP. Seeing a specialist is even worse. And we pay SO MUCH to do it.
My god it’s scary to have something wrong with you, or with a loved one, and you have to fight this bureaucracy every single step of the way. To be spinning in your anxiety, to have your love and fear met with mechanical indifference.
