1997: General Mills hires them to create Chex Quest 2 which is rushed to production and only ever released on their web site, presumably downloaded primarily by users of Netscape Navigator 4.x; it is pulled down before long
2008: Charles Jacobi creates a 3rd episode and remasters the first two and releases them all together as a free download on his personal web page
now the thing I'm wondering is like ... did he go back to General Mills and ask permission to distribute a derivative of the first two games he created? and if so ... how on earth did that conversation go?
