So, Shinsei bank is running a promo that gives you 1.2% annual interest for a month if you open an SBI investing account at their store. 1.2% is nothing outside of Japan, but in Japan, it's huge.
Only catch: they don't allow foreigners to partake because foreigners can't open an SBI investment account in stores.
It's #FirstWorldProblems and probably peanut change at the end of the day (it's only for a month) but the principle of it annoys me, even after over a decade living here...
