Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) will be closest to earth later today, at a distance of ~0.47 AU (71 million km).

It will become visible low in the western sky after sunset and it will rise higher but become dimmer each day for the rest of October.

Let's get our cameras and telescopes out and let's take some once-in-a-lifetime pics 📷 🔭
