A couple of weeks ago, Scarlet/Violet had a bugged event raid that was dropping Null items, so after a few hours they CANCELLED that weekend's raid and they still haven't brought them back. Previously there had been a special raid event every weekend, starting a week after launch. They had a similar thing going with Sword/Shield, though at a slower pace.
There's a lot of stuff I love about these new games but they do feel held together with elmer's glue and wishful thinking at times
