One of my hopes for 2026 is that browser vendors take more responsibility for today's pervasively bad experiences. Failure to cabin content in many dimensions (nobody wants a slow site, but they also don't want to dismiss a mailing-list pop-up to halfway through a post) is creating demand for interposing layers that only serve users better because browsers act as the user's agent:
