Tried to make a paella, for the first time*. It turned out so bad that my family didn't even try to soften the blow and told me it was inedible. Many things went wrong, but the main problem is that I never had a paella made by someone who knows how, so I only have a theoretical idea of what it's supposed to feel like.
*) Technically, I tried once before, but so long ago that I'm not even sure I did :-)
