It’s been a while since I crimped Ethernet cables. Thankfully I knew enough to know that these instructions were wrong, so I ignored them and used a different reference.

Only later did I notice that the instructions are *technically correct* but written in a way to be difficult to use/verify. Everyone involved in publishing them should be ashamed.
