A demonstrator fitted with frog gear spoke about the "Portland frog" as 100,000-plus people were leaving the #NoKings event in Minneapolis on Oct. 18, 2025.
"The frog is a symbol because the idea that they have rolled out troops and ICE in Portland is ridiculous. Like, like there's no need to send the National Guard to Portland when Alaska is flooding ... And they're not doing anything. So, like, it's ridiculous. And the frog represents how ridiculous the whole thing is."
