Random fact about my dad. When he was a kid, his family's property was taken via eminent domain so they could build I-90 (or perhaps an earlier highway that eventually became I-90). I mainly know this because he'd point out the section where he used to live whenever we drove over it. He remembers well connected families getting better deals for their property than his own family. He still gets angry about it when the topic comes up.
