Between these shots, there are:

- 14 years
- 5201 miles
- 3 camera changes
- countless liters of green tea

But it's the same pot and the same tray.

The darker shade and deeper shadows on the second shot are not (only) from different lighting, the pot has stained over the years and became immeasurably cooler :-)
