I have a piece on the boil that builds on @pluralistic's trenchant analysis of Apple's "rogue capitalism"[1], but even before we get to that, it's important to understand the damage Apple's money is doing to the legal profession in formerly-liberal jurisdictions. As with Oil and Tobacco interests, Apple pays top-dollar for lawyers and astro-turfers [2] who will repeat fiction for cash. This is now Cupertino's primary export.
