- JBS USA Holdings is a subsidiary of JBS S.A., Brazilian-owned
- National Beef is majority owned (at least 81%) by Marfrig Global Foods, a Brazilian company.
- Tyson Foods, Inc. is U.S.-based
- Cargill Meat Solutions is U.S.-based (Cargill)and together, these four companies “process” approximately 85% of all beef in the United States.
and the US gov is giving the Brazilian beef industry more money because… why again?
