Having a life outside of computer touching is just absurd, and as a long suffering EE/CS type computer toucher, I'm well aware that I'm expected to pay for all my own training one way or another. And I also know this attitude is not limited to my industry. Whole community colleges exist mostly to externalize training costs for corporations.)
