progress on my Renoise livecoding instrument! it's at a point where it's actually fun to play?? I'm calling it 8FL, pronounced "eight eff ell" or "8th floor". it's a Fennel REPL that leverages Renoise's Lua API and uses pattern abstractions inspired by Clojure, Tidal Cycles, and the Polyend tracker hardware.
I'm nervous but I'm performing using this stack on Friday at Wonderville in Brooklyn! if you are around come through! https://withfriends.co/event/12661166/computer_pop_livecodenyc_algorave

- The top half of the video is audio software displaying a textual interface listing notes, among other bits of interface that are not relevant to the video. a kind of playhead runs up and down the notes as a drum rhythm plays. The lower half of the video is a text editor with expressions being edited and evaluated in real time to change the rhythm in the top half. (remote)
