We talk a lot about the #centralized vs #decentralized dichotomy, but what's much more consequential is local vs #cloud computing.
It's #Nvidia (and #Amazon, #Meta, #Microsoft, #Google ) vs #Apple.
Not saying Tim Cook is the good guy, but if we never got Apple custom silicon, we'd all be on thin clients that couldn't compute a meal tip without the cloud.
