It makes me sad in my soul that the UK is an island chain in decline, but it's also the best at web in some fundamental ways. The BBC's sites are paragons of "we're a public service for everyone" virtue, as are gov.uk's, despite a decade of the siren song of JS tempting each successive team.
Study this. Replicate this. *DO* this. Your users will thank you, particularly those on the margins...which brings us back to the UK Doom Loop of Conservative gott...but I digress.
