Yes, you should totally choose public domain or Creative Commons art over generating AI art for your blog, but let me also assure you that most blog posts don't need or even benefit from art, and you can safely use the time, effort and (literal) bandwidth you would have put into providing a picture for every post toward some activity that makes you happy.
