yall, everything about this story is hilarious:
- driverless cars piled up in north beach, SF, blocking loads of traffic: "The cars sat motionless with parking lights flashing for 15 minutes, then woke up and moved on, witnesses said."
- cruise (GM) blamed the outside lands music festival, sayig that the cell networks were overloaded & the cars couldn't function. (this is so pathetic)
- literally, the day before this, the california public utilities commission allowed a huge expansion of driverless cars in SF
- SF emergency services were begging the commission to NOT expand the number of driverless cars because they already impact their ability to do their jobs.
- one of the commissioners who voted to expand the number of cars used to be the head lawyer for cruise. lol. LOL.
