What I'm describing probably deserves more nuance than I can fit into a microblog post. I don't want to do a thread while in a food coma. But I'll say this. It's not that both can't be true. It's the instinct to blame the people for the trappings of capitalism and assuming everyone's situation is similar to your own. I don't love that nor do I find it particularly useful when discussing problems and solutions.
