The most beneficial writing habit Iāve acquired is to remember to just write first.
When I stopped worrying about things like tone, grammar, spelling, and structure, my first drafts got longer.
Longer first drafts gave me more clay to mold or remove later.
And you know what? Sometimes I keep the non-traditional sentence or two, that make the piece fun. I donāt get that opportunity when I edit as I write. (I still edit as I write but Iām getting better āŗļø)
