Consequently, I think that's how bsky stomped all over Masotdon during that pivotal point in time; bsky had the whole exclusivity thing going, yet it aggressively spread. So everyone was far more eager to get on bsky, then everyone was on bsky, so now everyone's afraid that if they leave, they'll start missing out.
