By "infects the whole call path", I described it to friends as someone who heard about the idea of function coloring, and decided we needed a THIRD color.
Now I have to think, I'm writing a JS function to calculate/fetch a result based on some input. If my fn color is REACT_STATE, now I need to account for the fact that I might be passed dummy values that haven't even been initialized yet, and wait for a *second* (or more) call to actually do work. 🤮
